| That's me with one of my younger brother.. painted with oils from one of dad's 'great photography'. As i saw the picture of the two of us, i just wanted to paint it on canvas. i love the way the stripes of the t-shirt and the flowers on the dress are pronounced with the background. | Hello there. Rovino Raikhan here. ... in my mid twenties, a Naga from Imphal,Manipur,(one of the eight states) from the beautiful North Eastern region of India. ..So born in my homeland, brought up in Delhi and now am currently residing in Kolkata. I have no educational qualifications in Art. I just love panting. Say it as my hobby or preferably passion, i paint mostly with oils, after which i put it up on my wall or gift them to friends, and sometimes have few commissions to work on :] I love painting! ... i remember when i was in kindergarten, our class teacher announced that she would teach us how to draw a boy and a girl. The excitement i was in, was absolutely thrilling until she began to draw two circles (which were to be the head of each, with two small dots for the eyes and a curved smile on each for the face), ...a triangle (for the girl's body), and a square (for the boy's) !!!! I was like "waa  " ..i had actually believed that she'd teach us how to draw life-like portraits. I was really looking forward to it and so prepared! ...so much for my excitement... :] I upload whatever i paint and thanks to deviantart, i can show case my work as well as check the many talented artists' works here :]  |
